Yakumo has Kurenai trapped in her genjutsu. Naruto and the others try to figure a way into her genjutsu world. After Naruto rescues Kiba from the fire, Naruto, Shino, Kiba, and Hinata come to a door. Yakumo keeps asking Kureani if the third Hokage told her to kill her parents but Kurenai says to take all Yakumo's anger out on her. Naurto summons Kage Bushins in a attempt to ram the door but they knock him out and use him to ram the door. Naruto enters Yakumo's genjutsu world. Outside Gai and Sakura learn the truth about Yakumo's parents death. In a flashback, Yakumo speaks to her parents. They tell her she doesn't have to be a shinobi. Suddenly a inner demon from Yakumo sprouts out and starts a fire and traps Yakumo's parents. They rush to the house to find Yakumo outside standing in disbelief.
They look inside the house to see the demon. Then it goes back to the world. Naruto tells Yakumo it wasn't Kurenai's fault for her pain. Yakumo remembers the past. She remembers the demon who killed her parents. She thanks Jureani and tries to kill herself. She is stopped by her painting and her inner demon appears. He restrains Naruto and tries to kill him. Naruto escapes and fights him. Kurenai tells Yakumo she is the only one who can defeat him. Naruto evades attack after attack before the inner demon decides to finish him off. Yakumo strikes the demon and kills it escaping them from the genjutsu world. Everyone rushes in and Kurenai says she'll become the leader of her team again. Naruto remembers the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox in him and Sakura stares at him wondering
